The tenth edition of “Piú Libri piú liberi”, the national fair for small and medium Italian book publishing houses, offers a literary programme of conferences, performances and presentations from 7-11 December at Rome’s Palazzo dei Congressi in EUR.
This year’s programme features readings and theatre workshops, lectures and children’s activities. University students can visit the fair free of charge.
Founded in December 2002 by the Small Publishers Association of Italy, the fair gives smaller publishing houses an accessible platform as well as a way of connecting with the general public.
The book fair has become an important date on Italy's literary calendar and attracts large crowds hunting for Christmas presents. The 56,000 visitors in attendance at last year’s event went home with 85,000 books.
